“Someone told me theres a girl out there
With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.”
Lyrics from Going to California by Led Zeppelin
In this case, the girl was Maureen Martinez and the place was Punta Cana for her destination wedding.

While my cousin Kimberly was doing her first communion a few weeks ago, the church was having a service for a Corrections Officer. I didn’t get any information about the officer as I was there for completed unrelated reasons. But from the little I did catch, the officer received a beautiful service.

It was fun hanging out with my little cousin Kimberly a few weeks ago as we walked along Shore Road in Bay Ridge (my old neighborhood) looking for good spots to take pictures.

The weather didn’t always cooperate as this pic of the Verrazano Bridge shows.

But you’d never know it from the look on Kimberly’s face.

I definitely need to go back to this beautiful park a few minutes from my home. Besides the beautiful view over-looking the Hudson, I frequently see a family of deer and more birds than I can ever hope to know.

This water fountain shoots almost as far as the cannons.

This fire hydrant could use a little help though.

The day wasn’t complete until my son pulled out his guitar and belted out some tunes.

I wish this were true as I hope my son grows up to be a musician of some kind. But in reality, he was just holding a stick. Here’s another shot of what he really had in his hands.

My wife and I spent the afternoon at her mom’s house. The weather couldn’t have been any nicer.

Lucas had a blast walking around the backyard.

But it was my wife who had the most fun on her special day.

I shot these with Canon’s 85mm f1.2 L USM II. It’s the second time I’ve rented it. It’s about $1,800. So no plans of buying it anytime soon. =(

Time flies when you’re having fun and this girl’s party was no exception.

I met Maureen (Moe) a few weeks ago when we talked about her upcoming destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. As I was leaving, she mentioned her boyfriend Peter was a classic car collector. One look at these cars and I just begged her to come back up and take pictures of them (and to meet Peter of course).

Here’s the beautiful 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe.

And here’s the 1959 2-Door Biscayne. I would have taken more pics of the Biscayne. But Pete is currently putting in a new engine and pushing that 19 foot monster wouldn’t have been easy.

I’m shooting a Sweet 16 in June. As part of the package, I offered to make the invites for the client. She gave me a sample of what she wanted.

I’ve met her daughter and I didn’t really feel this would be her style. I didn’t think it was cool enough for today’s teenager from Brooklyn. So I kept the basic layout but added a grungier look inspired by the designs on many of today’s t-shirts.

Both the mom and the daughter LOVED IT!!! Overnight Prints also did an EXCELLENT job of delivering a high-quality postcard quickly and very affordable. I’ll be using them again. Here’s a close-up picture of Gabby, which I took in Prospect Park. Her theme color is purple (if you didn’t already figure this out).

Took a bunch of pictures of my best man DJ Lou and his wife Tania. These are my favorites.
