Adventurer's (formerly Nellie Bly)
Lucas and I met up with my Dad at Adventurer’s Park in Brooklyn. This amusement park is along the Belt Parkway, an exit short of Coney Island. Lucas had a great time, although you probably couldn’t tell from these pictures. hahaha He loved all the rides. I’d be surprised if some of them weren’t around when I was his age.

Charlie Dimitroff
Mike’s attic workshop was the perfect backdrop to a fun portrait session of 9 month old Charlie and the rest of the Dimitroff family.
The Dimitroff Family — Mike, Ursula, Charlie and Henry.
Christal Quinceañera
Here are a few pictures of the lovely Christal at her Quinceañera (Sweet 15). Christal and her beautiful family have such a strong bond and the love they have for each other is crystal clear — pun intended!!!
Rock Star
Lucas helping me play with a new soft-box I purchased off Amazon.
Silver Mic
Some kids were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. I think Lucas was born with this silver mic.

Luna Park
I went to Coney Island to show my son a good time. You’d never know it from all the fun my sister was having.

GWB Sunset
I walked over the bridge from my place in Fort Lee into Manhattan on a clear evening and was lucky enough to have my camera with me.
Life's a Beach
Lucas wasn’t a fan of the sand at first. But once I pulled out all the toys I got him, he didn’t want to leave. My sister bought him the cool Baby Beach Chair.

Rosa Feliciano (12/4/1934 - 6/23/2011)
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. R.I.P. Rosa Feliciano… my grandmother and my treasure.
I took this picture of my grandmother at home in Puerto Rico in 2005. I didn’t know at the time that this would be the portrait she would be most remembered for.

Lake Placid
The Dimitroffs and I wanted to do something a little different this summer. So we thought it would be cool to drive 6 hours and run a Half-Marathon.
The drive wasn’t bad and the view from my hotel room was absolutely beautiful.
Mike took his son out on the lake.
Henry was excited and even helped his dad row the boat.
Ursula and I had a well-deserved meal after our run.

Sin City
On a few days notice, I booked a last minute trip to Las Vegas. While the trip didn’t live up to the hype (hey… I’m a rookie), I’m looking forward to going back.

NY Auto Show 2011
Another year of seeing cars I can neither drive nor afford. But I can’t help going year after year anyways. One car I could drive but would rather just look at are these cute little Scions. They had this great display of a beautiful prototype complete with a wall of current customized models.
I hope VW decides to make this retro VW Bus. It looks great.

Did I PhotoShop this picture?
Photographers hear this all the time. After viewing my NY Aquarium pictures, my co-workers asked me “Did you use PhotoShop?” Here’s the LONG answer to that common question.
For the picture below, I used my Canon 20D. It’s an 8MP D-SLR camera that’s 7 years old!!! When it was released in 2004 it was voted “Camera of the Year”. I paid almost $2Gs...

Haverstraw Bay Park
On my day off, I finally took the opportunity to take the short drive up to Rockland County to visit a friend. I’m not familiar with the area. But I’ll definitely find time to go back as there’s a few locations I scouted that would be great if the lighting had just been a little better. It’s beautiful up there.
Coney Island
While visiting my mom in Brooklyn, I took some time to take a quick drive to Coney Island. On this gloomy Tuesday, I was lucky enough to have the place pretty much to myself. While I usually don’t do B&W pictures, I thought the 3 pictures below looked best this way.
The statue below captures the moment during a game in May 1947 when Brooklyn Dodgers captain Pee Wee Reese went out of...

NY Aquarium
I took my son and my cousin to the NY Aquarium. While they had a great time, Daddy wasn’t very happy about dropping almost $100. That’s pretty expensive considering I didn’t see any dolphins, I saw 2 or 3 penguins, and 1 lazy seal. Oh… and they removed the beluga whales. There were no shows, unless you include the 3-D Happy Feet movie. That was cool, actually.

Long Days and Pleasant Nights
The parting phrase above is from “The Dark Tower” series of books by Stephen King. This amazing adventure was introduced to me by my good friend Ilich. After 12 years, he’s leaving the firm to begin a new quest. With his unique sense of humor and knowledge well beyond his years, I believe his best days are ahead of him.

Lucas and My Sis
My sister had never been to the Highline. My son happens to love this park. So I had him give his aunt a quick tour. They always have a great time together.
In Your Face
Sometimes the only way to take a picture of my son is to get all up in his face with my camera. This is the result. hahaha I added the texture in post production.
Shiny Disco Lights
While crates of vinyl records have been replaced by MP3s on a laptop, there’s still a ton of stuff to carry. Since I had nothing to do, I offered to lend my old DJ partner a hand setting up some DJ equipment for a wedding. It took us about 2 hours to set up and almost as long to dismantle everything. As tired as we were, I’m just glad everyone enjoyed themselves (except maybe the 80...

Lucas' 3rd Birthday (cont.)
A few days after Lucas’ 3rd birthday in Jersey (where we live), we threw a second party which included my family in Brooklyn. I even recycled the Star Wars decorations from the first party. hahaha
Lucas' 3rd Birthday
Lucas had been counting down the days to his birthday for weeks. And you know know what that means — PARTY TIME!!!
I let Lucas pick out his decorations. He picked out STAR WARS!!! So I bought about $150 worth every Star Wars decoration I could find — hats, buttons, candles, masks, pens, stickers, balloons, and of course… Light Sabers.
Lucas loves opening up presents. But then...
BK meets AC
This was the first time that my sister and her BFF have been to Atlantic City.
I can’t wait to walk the boardwalk this summer. Never a dull moment in AC.
The Beastie Girls…
The wind almost blew my sister away. While Carmen blew us away with her craziness.
My First Head-Shot Session
This is my first attempt at shooting head-shots. I was lucky enough to shoot Khemeka, who not only is a make-up artist but a natural in front of the camera.
February Ice Storm
This is what the crippling ice storm looked like. Everything was covered in ice. Sure… it made for a nice picture. But getting around in it was absolutely impossible.

Rutherford Sliding Center
Last year my friend Mike built a snow slide on his front lawn. This year, the slide got significantly bigger and faster. If the current trend continues, we estimate that a ski lift will be needed in just a under a decade. =)
The Carpenter
While Lucas plays with his new tool set, my sister let me practice my lighting.
The Pond at Bryant Park
I’ve only skated at The Pond once. It’s too pricey and the lines are ridiculous. But it’s great to watch people busting their @$$es on the way home.
While nowhere as big as the famous tree in Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park also had a great Christmas Tree.
Tudor City
My coworker Khemekha is always ready for her close-up. Right after this, my buddies and I decided to walk over to Tudor City for some lunch.
Here’s Manny and Syed — no relation.

Annual Polar Bear Swim 2011
This was the second time I’ve made the trip to Coney Island after a long New Years celebration to watch the Polar Bears take the plunge. I think someone announced the wrong time on NY1 this year because I missed swim time by an hour. Grrrr… Fortunately for me, the party keeps going long after the official swim time.
Everyone has their own reason for taking the plunge. I think the...

Orlando in December
Life in the Big Apple can be a little stressful at times (ok… most of the time). So on a few days notice, I hopped on a plane and headed down south to Orlando.
Don’t let the palm trees fool you. It got COLD in Florida, with temperatures dropping to the 30s. I did manage to find a nice warm coat that I’ll be wearing all winter. I still can’t believe I bought a coat...

Street Fair Goldfish
I won this fish for my son at a street fair. The game was $2. But then I spent another $20 on a damn tank, gravel, food, etc. hahaha What a sucker!!! As for my son… he lost interest in “Nemo” after a few days.
Great Wolf Lodge
My sister joined Lucas and I on a little road trip to Great Wolf Lodge. I’d heard lots of great things about this place. Honestly, I was sold from the moment I heard “indoor water park”. Lucas caught a fever on the 2nd day. So we left a little earlier than we anticipated. But we managed to have a great time.

Office Birthday Party

This one was for our good friend Felicia.
Kids of all ages came out to wish her the best.
Town Hall Park
I went to Town Hall Park in Lyndhurst with Lucas and some friends. Here’s Lucas walking towards the park’s beautiful water fountain.
Lucas wasn’t the only one enjoying the water fountain.

Jazz Meets Clave
I was truly honored to be invited by jazz great Carlos Henriquez and his beautiful wife Sara for a special night at Lincoln Center. “Jazz Meets Clave” was a marriage of jazz and Afro-Cuban sounds. Carlos was music director for the sold-out event.
Here’s Carlos and I catching up backstage prior to the show.

The Chipmunk
I rented Canon’s monster 100-400 L lens. And once again, I barely got a chance to use it. This chipmunk was the best I could manage on a short hike.

Van Saun Park
My friend and I took the boys to Van Saun Park, home of the Bergen County Zoo. It’s pretty small and not a lot of animals to speak of. But it was a great way to spend the afternoon. The kids especially loved the train and merry-go-round. I’d definitely recommend it.
Life in the Big City
It started out as an average Friday in the office. Most of us are just trying to run out the clock when all of a sudden we heard a sharp CRACK — my boss’ window mysteriously shattered. The only thing we could of is that someone on the floor above us dropped something really heavy.
On my walk across town, I observed the herd of people crossing the avenue. If I didn’t have my...

56th Street Park (revisited)
More great memories as my sister and I took my son and our cousin Kimberly to 56th Street Park. This park is 2 blocks from my mom’s house in Brooklyn and we’ve taken my son here before. Check out Kimbi’s t-shirt. It’s hysterical. The funny thing is I didn’t notice what it was tell after I downloaded the picture.

Tribute of Lights 2010
On my way to Brooklyn I pulled over to take a quick picture of the WTC Lights on the anniversary of 9|11. There were thousands of people out with the digital camera of all shapes and sizes. I could still see the lights when I got to Brooklyn too. They really are amazing.

New York Renaissance Faire
I went to my first Renaissance Faire over the long weekend. My friends picked me up bright and early for the hour drive. Little Henry needed only a few minutes to warm up to me.
I felt like I was transported to a different time. The town was great.
The costumes and actors were so believable. Although I have a feeling some of these people dress like this more than they should.

34 Mile Bike Ride
On a day when the temperature was hovering around the 100 degree mark, I decided to go for a little bike ride — about 34 miles from Bergenfield, NJ to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge and back to Fort Lee, NJ. My intentions were to go all the way to Sunset Park, Brooklyn to visit my mom. But the temperature got the better of me.
It’s damn near impossible to take a picture near the...
Vivian's Photo Session
My sister BV asked me to take some pictures for her upcoming birthday celebration at Front Street in Brooklyn. I created one side of the club flyer and gave the promoters a picture for the other.
The other pictures I took presumably will be rotated as my sister’s Facebook profile pic for a long time.
Chris and Toula's Wedding
Over 10 years in the making… Chris and Toula finally tie the knot at a beautiful Greek Orthodox church in Queens.
The ladies looked great.
While I admired the stained glass windows, Toula waits to walk down the aisle with her dad.
Minutes after becoming Mr & Mrs Lee, Chris and Toula are all smiles.
Now the fun really begins…
Chris quickly makes his way through the...
